Marlene Lapalu

After four years at the famous French Art school, Emile Cohl, I went to work for 2 years in Disneyworld, Orlando. First as a portrait artist and second as a graphic artist.
When I returned to France, I started to work in sign and design on Arc 1950 - Le Village, for internationals firms such as Intrawest and Radisson.
During this time, I was employed by a small company set up next to Geneva, Switzerland.
I made PLV for luxurious sportwear shops which were sailing trademarks; in particular Quiksilver, Napapijri and Eider. I made drawings, computer files, brochures, logos and acrylic paintings for commercial signs as well.

As I was interested in the arts since my childhood - especially writing and illustrating stories- I decided to work as a freelance artist in order to explore others facets of this wonderful sphere.
My first orders were drawn toward environnement subjects and I began to work with institutions in the canton and the city of Geneva.
I also worked with several associations and agencies based in Paris, Lyon and in Haute-Savoie.

I created sketches, animation roughs, visual identities standards and illustrations using different styles and tools to answer specifically to each costumer.
I 've expanded my style and i choosed to get rid of constraints.
I sought for editors as i was extending my network.

I can say I'm very happy and I am enjoying myself doing the things I love while sharing my passion with others who cross my path.
I really believed that the best way to succeed in life is to express what you feel inside and to learn and discover things each new days that God makes.
